Childbirth Class - Baraboo
Moms-to-be and support persons join this class and learn about the miracle of giving birth. This four-week course is designed to share current concepts regarding labor, birth and the postpartum period. Classes one through three focus on labor and delivery, including labor progress and the birth process. Labor support persons will learn how to provide positive, hands-on support and encouragement during the entire labor and delivery. Newborn care education is provided in class three.
Class four is all about breastfeeding. This class is designed to get you off to the best possible start with breastfeeding. If you're planning to breastfeed your newborn, or even just considering, attend this class with our lactation consultant. You and your support person will learn the basics of breastfeeding, some common problems and solutions, and the benefits for mom and baby.
Tip - Please select a class with a completion date that is approximately four weeks before Mom’s due date. We recommend bringing two pillows and a blanket to class.
