Give to Hospital Greatest Need

Over the last three years, SSM Health St. Mary’s Foundation Board of Directors approved over $4 million in funding to support strategic initiatives and priority needs of St. Mary’s Hospital. These distributions ultimately benefit our patients through building improvements and new technology - Portable Radiology Equipment, the integrated Electrophysiology Lab, the re-optimization of Operating Room (OR) suites, the new Interventional Radiology Lab and Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMs) - technology to provide an alternative treatment for depression.

Each year the Foundation Board of Directors works with Hospital Administration to determine where there are needs in the Hospital that might not be funded through the budget process. The Board holds the fiscal responsibility to determine the amount of the distribution based on a percentage of available funds and the overall needs of the organization.

Aside from major capital campaigns, Greatest Need funding has the greatest impact on St. Mary’s patients, families and staff each year. These gifts are vital to the work of the Foundation and provide the most flexibility to meet the emerging needs of the Hospital.

Greatest Need funding touches the lives of patients in nearly every clinical area and specialty at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. Please consider making an annual gift to support Hospital Greatest Need. Annual gifts of $1000 or more will continue to be recognized at the Leadership Giving Circle level and celebrated at the Spring Garden Reception.
