I am the Program Director for the Transitional Year Residency. I am thrilled that you are looking at our website and are interested in our program. We are dedicated to offering broad-based exposure and fundamental clinical skills training in a friendly, supportive and collaborative atmosphere. Our hospital and residencies have always had a strong sense of camaraderie.
Our program has a rich tradition of training well-rounded first year resident physicians. We take pride in reflecting a longstanding mission of SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital – to serve the people of Oklahoma with exceptional care.
Our Transitional Year mission statement: To be the choice Transitional Year for robust generalist training devoted to faith-centered patient advocacy and professional collegiality. We strive to provide a strong foundation in which to prepare Transitional Year Residency graduates for critical thinking to build upon in any medical career from primary care to subspecialty medicine.
Our Transitional Year Residency graduates have matriculated into many desirable residencies including anesthesiology, dermatology, diagnostic radiology, neurology, internal medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, family medicine and obstetrics and gynecology.
Medicine is definitely a calling, and we feel honored to be part of the mission and vision of SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital - Oklahoma City.
