Top Doctors 2022: 103 SLUCare Physicians Honored
St. Louis Magazine has released its 2022 Top Doctors issue, revealing the area’s top physicians. The list includes 98 physicians from SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health. The honored physicians represent more than 40 different specialties.
Every year, Castle Connolly surveys tens of thousands of practicing physicians across the United States to ensure its list always reflects the latest in quality care. After a doctor is nominated, a physician-led research team begins their work to screen each doctor and confirm whether he or she meets Castle Connolly standards.
Selection criteria include professional qualifications, education, hospital and faculty appointments, research leadership, professional reputation and disciplinary history. Where available, the firm includes outcomes data in its research. Castle Connelly also asks doctors to consider not just the training and clinical skills of the physicians they nominate, but also interpersonal skills such as listening and communicating effectively, demonstrating empathy, and instilling trust and confidence.
