At SSM Health, we understand the pain and devastation of addiction, as well as the emotional and mental illnesses that may be associated with it. Our mission is to provide quality and compassionate care to adults struggling with alcohol and/or drug conditions and mental health issues.
SSM Health Treatment & Recovery offers individualized rehabilitation for those suffering from alcohol and drug dependencies, including the abuse of opiates. Our programs are designed to meet the increasing need for quality, medically monitored programs for those suffering from addictions.
Our Services
A team consisting of an addictionologist, behavioral health nurse, AODA counselors, and family and activity therapists provide detoxification for adults. Psychiatric consultation is readily available from staff. To treat patients, an individual plan is developed based on a complete physical and addictive medicine evaluation.
The treatment plan may include:
- Individual sessions with AODA counselors
- Group therapy
- Family assessment, education and support
- Discharge planning
- Nutritional assessment
- Patient education classes
- Community meetings
- Therapeutic activity therapy
- Medication education
- Psychological assessment and psychotherapy
- 12-step support group meeting attendance
Individual evaluations, specific programming, individual therapy and group therapy are available for any adolescent or adult with a demonstrated need for addiction services. An addictionologist, family counselor and AODA counselors provide a full continuum of care to patients, including working with family and friends and utilizing a wide range of community resources.

Outpatient rehabilitation programs allow patients to work through addiction treatment without putting life on hold. Programs are ideal for people with a strong support system, a stable living situation and the internal motivation to change their lives.

Too often, individuals suffering from chemical and alcohol dependency do not receive the appropriate care because it would mean taking extended time away from their work or family.
This program offers individualized care that moves through a continuum, based on the needs of our patients.
If you or someone you love is struggling with the symptoms of withdrawal, our substance stabilization program offers medically-managed support.
