Biography:
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Scott de la Garza, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with SSM Health Bone & Joint/OSOI. He specializes in all aspects of adult cervical, thoracic and lumbar pathology. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and an active member in the North American Spine Society. He has served as chair of the department of musculoskeletal surgery at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City for more than 10 years. He has served on several boards including the Oklahoma chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.
One of Oklahoma’s leading orthopedic surgeons, he has been recognized by peers and patients for a number of prestigious awards, many of them over the course of multiple years. These honors include Top Orthopedic Surgeon by U.S. News and World Report, Top Doctor by Oklahoma Magazine and Top Doctor by Castle Connolly. He was also recognized with the St. Luke Award by St. Anthony Hospital, which honors the provider that most exemplifies the life of St. Luke, Patron Saint of Physicians and Surgeons.
